Lovers of unconventional instrument making, the VIRUS company has been working since 2006 in the invention of unusual instruments and sound machines created from recycled elements: simmering bass, flat key xylophone, bass drum, ruler senza, architect's lamp with elastic bands…
Today, the company combines the art of object repurposing with cinema and music by presenting its HYPER 8 CLUB project, a poetic, DIY film-concert.

 

The session revolves around a screening of SUPER 8 films from the 1960s in the science fiction or horror genre. The soundtrack is therefore created live using imaginary instruments, a loop pedal, an electric guitar and a voice, sometimes spoken, sometimes sung, mixing French, English, fragments of poems and other diverse influences.
