Description

At a key age for cultural development—when artistic tastes and consumption habits are being formed—prevention of hearing risks is a major health issue. We listen more, and more loudly, often without being aware of the real consequences on our health.

In response to this observation, the aim of the “Ear Ouïe Go” conference is twofold: to raise young people’s awareness of good listening and music consumption practices, and to develop musical culture and interest in contemporary music.

The educational content of the session is structured around a main theme: the chronological evolution of amplified music.

The cultural and social history of youth, both rebellious and shaped by its past, regardless of the era. Around this backbone, more technical notions are explored, such as sound, hearing, and major technological advances. Anecdotes, listening examples and diagrams are used to encourage exchange and participation.
